SPRING CITY PLEIN AIR COMPETITION
END OF AUGUST
Spring City, a bucolic small town and registered historic district located in the heart of Utah, is a favorite painting locale for many artists. The scenic, pastoral landscape lends itself to creativity and landscape painting. Spring City Arts hosts one of the premier annual plein air painting events in the State of Utah.
This September, I'll be teaching a three day course on "Developing Fresh Eyes". The most important ability to improve your work is to see with fresh eyes. Whether that is to see your work differently, to notice new things about the landscape, or to expand the things you want to say with your work, seeing with fresh eyes will keep your work progressing wherever you happen to be in your development. We will have the stunningly beautiful landscape of Escalante National Monument as our subject matter and it will be the perfect warm up for the Escalante Canyons Plein Air Competition.
